Buymed Accelerates Automation with New AMR System Deployment at Binh Duong Warehouse

As part of its strategic commitment to operational excellence and technological innovation in 2026, Buymed has officially integrated an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) system into its logistics network, marking a significant milestone in the company's automation journey.

The deployment of the AMR system at the Binh Duong warehouse represents a transformative step in how Buymed manages its supply chain and logistics operations. By introducing these advanced technological solutions, the company aims to optimize warehouse efficiency, reduce physical strain on the logistics team, and establish a foundation for scalable, automated growth across its regional network.

Empowering the Logistics Team

In the initial phase of deployment, the Binh Duong facility has welcomed 13 autonomous robots designed to support two critical warehouse functions: three robots dedicated to inbound operations (Put-Mover) and ten robots focused on outbound fulfillment (Pick-Runner).

These robotic units are engineered to navigate the warehouse environment independently, intelligently avoiding obstacles while transporting heavy loads of up to 150 kilograms. The primary objective of this integration is not to replace human effort, but to elevate it. By delegating the physically demanding tasks of material transport and heavy lifting to the AMR system, Buymed's logistics personnel can redirect their focus toward specialized, higher-value operations that require human judgment and expertise.

Immediate Operational Impact

The integration of robotics into the daily workflow has already yielded measurable improvements in warehouse performance. During the initial operational phase, the facility recorded a 15% to 20% increase in inbound processing speed. Furthermore, as the system completes its trial period and reaches full optimization, outbound fulfillment speed is projected to accelerate by an additional 10% to 30%.

These efficiency gains directly translate to faster processing times, enhanced accuracy, and ultimately, a more reliable supply chain that better serves Buymed's extensive network of pharmacies and healthcare providers.

A Strategic Vision for the Future

The successful launch of the AMR system at Binh Duong is the first step in a broader strategic initiative focused on automation, technology application, and sustainable cost optimization. This deployment serves as a crucial testing ground to refine the technology and operational workflows before Buymed considers expanding the robotic fleet to its Bac Ninh warehouse facility.

This technological milestone is the result of extensive cross-functional collaboration. The seamless integration of these advanced systems was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Buymed's Fulfillment, Automation, Technology, and Logistics teams. Their combined expertise has successfully bridged the gap between technological potential and practical, everyday operations.

As Buymed continues to pioneer digital transformation in the healthcare supply chain, the successful deployment of the AMR system stands as a clear indicator of the company's readiness to embrace innovation and drive the industry forward in 2026 and beyond.
